Testing release: do not use this prototype as the sole official logbook. Data is stored only in this browser until you export a backup. Optional encrypted cloud-row backup is now available after configuring a Supabase project. Photos, local GPS tracks and scans are not cloud-synced. Background GPS and handwriting recognition remain unimplemented. Multi-sector duty includes a provisional twilight estimator.
QUICK ENTRY

Log a flight

Record UTC off-block, take-off, landing and on-block times, or log an entire multi-sector duty.

For 2–10 sectors, share crew details and assign different flight times, PF/PM, approaches and aircraft registrations to each sector.

Flight details

Use aircraft's actual take-off time.
Use aircraft's actual landing time.
Manual entry in this prototype; automated civil twilight planned.
Do not equate IFR flight with actual instrument time.
No new photos selected
Block time = off-block to on-block. Airborne time = take-off to landing. Missing airborne times remain unverified, not assumed equal to block time. Aircraft take-off/landing counts are not automatically credited to the pilot. Night estimates remain provisional.
ONE DUTY · MULTIPLE FLIGHTS

Multi-sector duty

Choose 1–10 sectors. Enter shared crew/aircraft once, with PF/PM, approach, UTC timestamps and aircraft-swap overrides for each sector.

Prototype: automatic night-time estimates use CASA civil-twilight thresholds and a simple interpolated path between known airports or manually captured GPS endpoints. They are not a verified GPS flight track. Review every calculated time before using it professionally.

Use the Now controls to timestamp off/on blocks. Airport coordinates are used as a fallback where known. GPS endpoint snapshots are only requested when you press the location button.

FLIGHTPATH · FLIGHT RECORDINGS

GPS track recorder

Record an optional private-flight track with the device GPS, or import a historical GPX track and attach it to a logged flight.

Testing prototype: GPS recording requires a browser with location permissions and a secure origin (HTTPS or localhost). Foreground-only: keep this page open, and do not rely on it to continue recording with your screen locked. Airline ADS-B retrieval and smartwatch apps are not connected. Track records are unencrypted in this browser prototype.

Record with phone / device GPS

Not recording
Save the flight first. You can attach a track to an individual sector.

0 positions collected

Import an existing track

Open the flight in Flight History and choose an existing GPX file. Track downloads are available from the same flight detail screen. We do not fetch ADS-B provider data yet.

HANDWRITING CALIBRATION

Scan & learn

Collect logbook pages and labelled handwriting examples for your private recognition profile.

This prototype saves page images and labelled handwriting samples in your browser. It does not perform AI handwriting recognition yet. The samples will be useful when a recognition service and secure account storage are connected.

Upload handwritten pages

0 pages

Tip: include one photograph showing the column headings and any handwritten page or cumulative totals.

YOU OWN THE DATA

Data, print & backups

Print your flight history and keep portable, private copies.

Export your logbook

CSV for spreadsheets and other compatible systems, or JSON for a structured flight-data backup. Photos and scanned pages are stored separately in the browser in this prototype.

Restore a JSON flight backup

Only JSON files exported from this prototype are accepted. Existing flights are kept; duplicate IDs are skipped.

Printable paper logbook pages

Choose Australian paired-page, FAA-style, EASA-style or compact print views. Draft templates only; validate against your actual paper logbook and current regulations.

Encrypted complete-device backup

Includes flight records, attached photos, GPX, scanned pages and handwriting samples. Encrypts in this browser before download using AES-GCM; keep your passphrase securely. Useful as an independent copy on a hard drive, or in cloud storage of your choice.

Nothing has been backed up yet.

Safety notes

Data is saved in this browser on this device only. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may erase it. Use exports frequently. Local browser storage is currently NOT encrypted at rest. Optional cloud backup encrypts flight rows before upload, but does not include photo/media attachments yet. Use the full encrypted download for all attachments. Production will require independent security review.

OPTIONAL · CLOUD STORAGE

Encrypted cloud backup

Synchronise your flight rows through your own Supabase project.

Prototype feature: the web application can be hosted from any HTTPS website. Cloud sync needs a Supabase account and the included SQL setup. Flight rows are encrypted locally before upload; photos, GPS tracks, scans and handwriting examples are NOT synced. Keep a separate encrypted complete-device backup. Sync is still beta and not a substitute for verified logbook records.

1. Connect a cloud provider

Create a Supabase/PostgreSQL project and apply supabase/schema.sql. Use only the public/anon key; never paste a secret or service-role key.

2. Sign in

3. Unlock your private backup

Use the same vault passphrase on each device. The cloud provider cannot decrypt flight rows without it. Losing the passphrase can permanently prevent cloud restoration.

Opt-in, browser session only. Changes from another device are blocked by revision checks; never blindly overwritten.

Cloud is not connected.
